At his anniversary concert in Zaltbommel,the Netherlands this past summer, Andre received a special surprise - a gold CD! Actually it was one of many surprises on this special occasion. Andre had expected to do an "ordinary organ recital" followed by a reception. But when an old English taxi suddenly appeared at his doorstep at 7:00p.m. to pick him up, he started to doubt if things were going to be "ordinary".  This was going differently than expected!  And...this was only the beginning of many surprises. Upon being received royally at the church entrance, he could hear the organ playing already!  After an opening  speech by Rev. K. Hoefnagel, some colleague organ friends contributed to the evening with their musical selections. This was followed by Mr. Dolph Thierry from STH Records, who presented Andre with a gold CD representing his entire recording career with this company. Finally, it was Andre's turn to play at his own concert. Afterwards a busy reception took place where everyone  could express their best wishes and congratulations  for being blessed with such a career milestone.
